Choose framed for a complete piece
The Black Frame option pairs the photograph with a matte black PVC frame and UV-protective glass. It is produced in Canada and arrives assembled with hanging hardware. This suits a room where you want a clear, consistent finish and a piece that is ready to hang.
A black frame gives the photograph a visible boundary. On a pale wall it adds definition; in a room with darker details it can connect the print to the wider space. The best choice depends on the image and the room rather than the frame in isolation.
Choose unframed for more control
The No Frame option supplies the photograph without a frame, allowing you to choose your own moulding, mat and glazing. It is useful when you are matching existing artwork or working with a local framer on a particular interior.
Allow for the full cost and time of finishing the piece. The print price is only one part of that route: a frame, any mat, glazing and fitting all contribute to the final result. Keep the print protected until it is ready to be framed.
Measure the finished piece
Compare the outside frame dimensions, not only the print dimensions. A wider moulding or added mat changes how much wall space the artwork occupies. This matters especially when arranging a pair or fitting a print between shelves.
Check the current size and presentation on the product page. Chaika Studios currently lists 12 × 16, 16 × 20 and 20 × 28 inch options; the crop can vary across these proportions. Confirm the preview for the size you intend to order.
Give the photograph a considered home
Choose a display position away from direct sunlight and persistent moisture. UV-protective glass helps reduce UV exposure, but it is still worth considering where the work will hang. Follow the supplied hanging and care instructions.
If you want the simplest path from delivery to display, choose the framed option. If choosing the frame is part of your design process, start with an unframed print. Both begin with the same decision: a photograph you want to have around you.
